Account Manager - Pharmaceutical Industry

Kent/East Sussex

The main purpose of this crucial role will to be the link between clients, account directors and the internal team. The company work with many of the top 10 pharma companies in the world and have a vast range of clients. This medical communications company help healthcare and pharmaceutical companies communicate with each other in a professional and accessible way.

Job Title: Account Manager

Salary: ~£25,000 - £35,000

Benefits: Discretionary bonus % of salary up to 15%

Location: Kent/East Sussex

The key responsibilities for this role are:

  • Sound knowledge of Pharmaceutical client personnel
  • Keeping a close eye on news relating to client’s therapy areas and products and review their impact on the client.
  • Understanding business goals and seek out opportunities to expand the business
  • Keeping the client updated on all activities
  • Development of budgets to provide the client with programmes to meet their communication needs.
  • Finding RFP’s through in-depth client interactions
  • Account expansion
  • Renewals: outstanding programme delivery resulting in client renewals
  • Cross-selling: Networking with the client company to acquire new programmes outside current spec.
  • Up-selling: Finding new additional activities with existing clients that add value to the client.

Required Experience:

  • Experience in a similar role in the medical communications industry
  • International experience with outside UK companies
  • Good knowledge of medical communications, digital publishing and pharmaceutical medical
  • Track record of organic growth and managing client relationships
  • Evidence of delivery of revenue targets
  • An understanding of relevant industry guidelines
  • Determined and committed to exceed
  • Comprehensive experience with key opinion leaders, third party suppliers and management of clients.
