My client is looking for an Accounts Assistant to join them to support the Accounts department with day-to-day client and office accounting entries. They have a history dating back over 300 years across their 4 offices across Kent. With a strong focus on building relationships within their local community, it's easy to see why their clients have named them extensively as being both trustworthy and approachable. 
 
The central duties of this role include, but are not limited to:
  • Monitoring bank accounts and entry postings to ledgers.
  • Bank payment processing (Chaps/BACS).
  • Cost transfers between accounts – End of day reports.
  • Posting and printing bills.
  • Bank reconciliations for Client/Office accounts.
  • Handling credit/debit card payments when required from clients.
  • Posting client to client transfers.
  • Posting Land Registry disbursements.
  • Monitoring email ad-hoc accounting requests as required.
  • Posting client/office banking as required.
  • File closing/re-opening.
  • Assisting with end of month nominal postings.
  • Petty cash for Head Office and monthly postings for branch offices.
Location: Tunbridge Wells (hybrid working available)
Working Hours: 9am – 5:15pm Monday-Friday
Salary: up to £26,000 (depending on experience)
