BI Developer / Data Analyst

** Fintech Start-Up **

CLIENT

This role report directly into the CDO and is the first of its kind within this rapidly growing fintech start-up (currently 30 strong). You will work closely with their in-house Actuary (who looks after all their pricing) and their data engineering team, to code to automate data transfer processes, then using Python and SQL to deliver reporting and insights. This will then lead onto delivering more advanced analytical projects, including insights and data science for not only internal stakeholders but also partners (within both the insurance and automotive market) with the intention of building out data products and services.

So, a broad background in analytics is required, with solid skills in SQL coding and Python (or similar) for more advanced automation and modelling work. In addition to these tools they also use Snowplough Analytics for data collection (open source tool, similar to Google Analytics), and operate from an AWS platform (SQL server based).

You will need to be a self-starter, commercially minded, with the ability to spot opportunity for adding value to customers and partners through data products, services and analysis projects. Ultimately, this is a fantastic opportunity for an intellectually curious, bright, ambitious Data Analyst, keen to be part of this challenger brand and a growing data team.

This business offer personalised insurance through their App, working to disrupt the insurance market and make it digitally native. They recognise people don’t care or often think about insurance, but they are hoping their product will change that.

They have recently partnered with one client to launch an innovative service in pay-as-you-drive insurance, and have secured an exclusive agreement with an automotive giant to white label their direct insurance offering.
