Business Intelligence Developer 
Salary up to £55,000

This is a rare opportunity to join one of the world’s most exciting aviation innovations as a BI Developer. The position is offering a split of flexible remote working from home plus 1 - 2 days office based per week. The offices are based close to Witney, Oxfordshire.
 
You'll need to be great at designing, implementing and operating stable, scalable solutions to flow data from business applications to the data warehouse, and into end user facing analytics applications. You'll work closely with the business to understand their requirements and implement trusted and reliable reporting solutions.
 
Skills & experience required:
  • Previous experience of delivering business intelligence projects or working in similar data roles. 
  • Strong data warehouse development skills in SQL Server with experience of designing and building multi-dimensional data warehouse models and downstream cubes/marts – creating tables, views, stored procedures, indexing and performance tuning, and ETL processes 
  • Strong data analytical skills 
  • Good experience of the MS BI Stack including MS Azure, SQL Server, SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).  
  • Experience of building front end BI solutions/dashboards using reporting and visualisation tools such as Power BI (DAX), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), and Excel (including Power Query).
  • Ability to build relationships and focus on delivering customer outcomes. 
  • Proactive, hands-on approach, self-starter that is able to take the initiative
  • Strong team player that can work both independently and as part of a fully integrated team
Job Responsibilities
  • In the role you will contribute to the design, development and implementation of the data warehouse to support the BI requirements of the business (translating requirements from the business into data solutions).
  • Minimise the duplication of data and logic to achieve the ‘single source of the truth’. 
  • Ensure high quality documentation is developed and maintained 
  • Identify, test and fix bugs and bottlenecks in the ETL process 
  • Developing analytics and reporting capabilities to facilitate the conversion of data into information, information into insight, and insight into business decisions.  
  • Build and provide a suite of data visualisations, dashboards, operational reports 
  • Working with Business Stakeholders, you'll design and maintain new dashboards, facilitate analysis, model building and other reporting solutions. 
  • Support driving improvements to data quality such as accuracy, completeness, consistency, reliability.
  • Acquiring data from primary or secondary data sources to build into the Data Warehouse.
