Vacancy: Campaign Optimisation Manager Location: London, twice a week – can flex working day between 8-10am start and 4-6pm finish, whether working from home or from office Salary: Up to £45k base Benefits: 75% discount on train tickets, pension, healthcare, etc. Term: This is a 12 month fixed term The role: You’ll be joining the marketing function of a UK travel and transport organisation, responsible for oversight of big budget media campaigns executed across ATL and digital channels. These are all performance/direct response based campaign channels and will include: TV Radio OOH Video on demand Paid search Display Paid Social What you’ll be handling is the agency relationships, principally their media and advertising agencies. Looking at the media strategies and plans. Providing input around channel pros and cons, shaping the agency’s plans to ensure maximum reach and impact with the target audiences based on campaign objectives. Working with the media insight and analytics teams to draw insight on marketing effectiveness and channel attribution of campaigns in-flight. Providing direction, suggestions of changes and tweaks to those campaigns. Dialling up and down media spend. Changing plans based on performance data. Looking for opportunities to drive channel performance enhancements, so the right levels of response are being achieved which deliver the appropriate ROI. You will be digging into the data to really understand what’s driving over and under performance of each channel. With a keen appreciation of how to adapt campaign spend and media budgets to ensure maximum bang for a company’s buck. You will also be reporting on the successes of campaigns internally. Dealing with marketing leadership and other business stakeholders. Talking about where opportunities might exist for future campaign plans and how to take things forward in order to achieve the business’ overall objectives in its direct response marketing programme. The agencies you’ll be working with are really solid, credible and knowledgeable, so you’ve got a good resource to lean on. But you should also be knowledgeable about the subject matter yourself so you know where, what and how to challenge ideas and plans which are being presented to you. Interview process Following the agency screen and submission procedure this will be a two stage process. First is an hour long discussion of your experience to date with the hiring manager which will include some competency questions The second will be an informal discussion with the head of function, looking at character and team fit Experience needed Experience gained from either agency or client side in a performance/direct response marketing environment Good understanding of things like marketing effectiveness, econometrics, marketing attribution data. How to draw meaning from it and how to tweak and change up campaign media spend to drive improvements in response and effectiveness of campaigns Experience of working with agencies, reviewing and critiquing media plans Knowledge of channels including traditional ATL ones and digital Experience of managing campaigns executed across multiple channels Want to Apply?
