Before we start

For the right person, this job ad has it all. Starting with the job title!

CMO…and I mean a proper, full blooded, top of the tree Chief Marketing Officer.

It has all the popular buzz words like Cryptocurrency, Blockchain, SaaS and I’ll even be throwing a Unicorn and Rockstar into the mix!

Oh, and remote working… and I don’t mean ‘2 days from home, 3 days from office’. I mean “we don’t need you to come to an office.” Remote working.

This role can be appointed in the USA, UK or Europe. They’re interested in finding the best talent for the job, the location isn’t so important.

So where’s the catch?

Truth is, this is a very unique opportunity looking for a very specific character, set of skills and background.

The Company

It’s a firm who have grown 650% in just the last 3 months, making them one of the fastest growing Cryptocurrency firms in the World over that time.

Their SaaS solution is powered by Blockchain, and integrated with the pretty much all the biggest video publisher sites around the World. It is responsible for weeding out the bots from the system. Ensuring clicks, ad impressions and views recorded bear a true representation of audiences to brand owners. So they don’t pay more than they should.

Plus as it’s on Blockchain, the data is there for everyone to see and audit, ensuring complete transparency.

They’re a Unicorn in the making, offering a completely unique, patented solution and the business is in scale up mode.

They’re not for profit in nature. The profits they make go back into their Cryptocurrency, increasing its value.

The Role

All they need now is a CMO who understands the Crypto industry to join them and build out a proper marketing programme targeting DSP’s and SSP’s to ramp their growth to the next level.

We’re talking a full marketing mix programme - brand awareness build and content marketing, to growth hacking, digital performance, lead generation and (likely) ABM. Plus any other marketing channels and strategies which will successfully get the business in front the right audiences, in the right channel, at the right time and drive inbound prospects, value and growth.

This is a $150m start-up, who’ve achieved that valuation with very little marketing capability. They’re looking to you to bring the clarity of strategy, prioritisation, drive, determination and ambition to get the business over the $1bn mark and beyond.

They recognise this won’t be done overnight, and you’re going to need a team to help. The necessary budgets and resource will be made available to help you achieve your plan.

Key Experience

  • Got to have senior level marketing experience from a firm in the Crypto space
  • Full marketing mix pedigree covering all marketing disciplines – acquisition, growth, brand, CRM and digital
  • Key strengths in performance and growth marketing in a B2B environment
  • Impressive results delivered, helping a business scale at pace and achieving challenging goals – looking for examples of impressive metrics, demonstrating rapid growth to $bn status
  • Have built marketing strategy and functions from the ground up before
  • Happy taking on a role which, in the beginning, will require hands on delivery whilst things are still being built
