Strategic Sourcing Manager – Clinical Trial Supply - ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENT

Overview:

A global specialty pharmaceutical business, who have successfully achieved continuous significant and sustained growth, is looking for a Strategic Sourcing Manager to support their procurement of Clinical Trial Supplies for their German and Belgium markets. Working closely with Account Management and Business Development, you will be working as a dedicated Strategic Sourcing Manager to develop and maintain vendor relations, responsible for the procurement/buying and supply of new clinical supplies from wholesalers or manufacturers.

Job Title: Strategic Sourcing Manager

Salary: c.£40,000 – c.£48,000

Benefits: Bonus up to 15% annually, Holidays: 27, Pension: 4.5% matched

Location: Surrey/Staffordshire/Derbyshire

The key responsibilities for this role are:

• Working closely with the German/Belgium regions to identify key vendors, products, and territories, supporting company objectives
• Negotiating payment terms, improving buyer powers across all company affiliates
• Implementing and delivering strategic objectives to improve key vendor performance
• Always ensure Supply chain integrity, maintaining full traceability
• Develop, Maintain and Nurture key vendor relations to maximise the best pricing, terms, and exclusive supply relationships with manufacturers
• Through the attendance of meetings and exhibitions, you will be able to implement supplier performance KPI’s
• Maintaining consist compliance and liaising regularly with Quality Assurance, ensuring licenses and documents are up to date and correct
• Utilise and improve where possible the sourcing library and shared tools, databases and services, maintain efficient and cost-effective products for
• Working cross-functionally, developing strong relations with internal teams such as Finance, Logistics, and Operations
• Ability to attend client-facing meetings, supporting Project Management and BD teams when required

Requirements

• Educated to degree level and preferably in a science-related field
• Must have experience of clinical trial services and comparator sourcing supply chain
• Ambitious, Proactive, Organised and Detail Oriented
• Strong and proven vendor relationship management experience
• Adaptability and Flexibility to fast-paced and changing situations
• German speaker (HIGHLY desirable)
