Role: Content Marketing Manager
Location
: Canary Warf. Likely 2 days from office per week.
Salary: £45,000 to £55,000 plus bonus and benefits

 

Do you know your bulls from your bears, what pump and dump means, and have any idea what an OTC market is?

No?

Is that because the world of finance and stock trading is stuffy and boring?

Well, if you think that and you don’t want to be in a content marketing role where the subject matter is dry and corporate, this could be an opportunity worthy of your consideration.

Whilst this is finance, it’s for a consumer FinTech platform whose mission is to make the complicated world of stocks, commodities and forex trading accessible, simple to understand, ergonomic and thereby appealing to a mass market consumer who might be looking to do some self-investing via app or desktop.

They’re a multi-billion Pound global organisation, and the UK market is their hotbed for innovation. It’s where they run all their trials of new propositions and feature updates first, to get a sense of what works and what needs tweaking to land successfully in the global market.

Where you come in is as the owner of all things content marketing and copy. You’ll be part of a small marketing unit of five, which covers affiliates, lead generation and content.

The work you’ll be doing will be the company’s bleeding edge stuff. Lots of testing and trailing to see what works across email marketing, social channels, blogs, thought leadership, lead generation content, etc.

This will need a hands-on approach to content creation, with a decent bias of your time going into copywriting. Whether that’s for social content with Influencers, script writing for TV or something like investment guides which take the jargon out and makes the world of self-investing accessible to the masses.

In addition, you’ll find the company has a very pro-active approach to building career development paths. So there’s going to be clear opportunity for growth and progression for you, and this business is scaling – over the last three years they’ve tripled in value.

Experience Necessary

  • Solid copywriting background and content marketing experience
  • Some exposure to regulated industries will be beneficial, but they are looking for someone who’s able to bring an air of excitement and engagement with this hire. So understands how to make content like this accessible and interesting
  • Real attention to detail blended with creative mindset
  • Personal interest in the world of investing will be beneficial
  • Content management experience and management of content lifecycles
  • Experience doing this across a range of media – i.e. tv scripts, collateral/literature, social media, etc.
