The successful applicant MUST have experience working in a property team of a legal firm in a paralegal or legal assistant capacity. Some of the central duties of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Communicating with clients in person, over the phone and over email
  • Taking charge of cases in the fee earners absence
  • Dealing with incoming client queries
  • Completing stamp duty land tax returns
  • Dealing with and undertaking property registrations
  • Drafting reports on title
  • Assisting with property acquisitions and sales
  • Ensuring confidentiality standards are consistently met
  • Arranging meetings and appointments, as well as maintaining an up-to-date diary for their fee earner
  • Attending to clients both in person and over the phone
  • Dealing with property registration and post completion work, as well as preparing AP1s
  • Preparing and tidying conference rooms for meetings
  • Speaking directly with lessees and with agents
  • Preparation and sorting of incoming and outgoing mail
  • Undertaking completion formalities – this includes preparation of completion statements
