Role: CRM Customer Marketing Manager
: Central London
Salary: £50,000 to £55,000 (based on experience)

If you’re marketing credit cards, insurance or broadband services, there’s only so many ways you can skin that cat before you find yourself in Groundhog Day. Overseeing the same onboarding, engagement and retention campaigns. Just doing minor tweaks in the hope of extracting a few extra responses and ££’s revenue.

Wouldn’t it be nice if you had a bit more variety of challenge?

You’re now thinking I’m about to pitch an agency side role, right? After all, that is so frequently the USP of those opportunities…

To be clear, I’m not.

You’d be joining their Customer Marketing division. It’s an Agile working environment, and will be working across different consumer facing brands and all their respective consumer products and service offerings.

Your remit will be to oversee the strategic and tactical aspects of customer marketing, specifically in-life and driving cross and up-sell opportunities with existing customers.

The team you will be joining is made up of 3 peers, each owing an aspect the programme, such as Early-life (onboarding), In-Life (this role), Engagement (demonstrating value) and Protect and Retain (pro-active and re-active retention).

The products cut across all consumer brands and include mobile, tv and premium content channels, broadband, wearables and connected devices, fixed line voice, convergent communications, value added services and ad-ons.

You’d be devising the campaign programme and associated customer journeys across digital and direct channels. Including email, direct mail, SMS, MMS.

You’ll be working with a proposition team who devise the commercial proposition, and agencies as well as fulfilment houses who support with creative and content development as well as execution. As well as the wider marketing, digital and operations teams to ensure campaigns are properly planned, implemented and delivered, as well as results captured and measured.

Key experience necessary

  • You understand how to translate customer insight into strategic and tactical marketing activity, with clear, compelling messages
  • BTL, direct response marketing is your forte – the creation, execution and measurement of it
  • You understand in-life and lifecycle communications – either early life and onboarding, in-life and value growth or retention and protection
  • You can work at pace and scale, happy to take on a role with diversity which will allow you to work across many different challenges associated with working across a diverse product set and complex customer base
  • Your experience is principally consumer market centric doing things like the above
