We’ve got all these boxes ticked and are missing the final piece to bring it all together – you!

The plan is to create a digital first customer marketing programme which utilises Braze as it's platform.

You’re going to be putting the thinking into the company’s CRM programme. Ensuring it achieves a brilliant customer experience through effective targeting and experiences across all customer journeys and life stages.

Sitting between the data team and CRM operations. Your remit will be to work with customer insight and data to translate key themes and behaviours into targeting segmentations, and use those to architect customer contact strategies.

There is no legacy issues with this one, it’s completely greenfield. That’s not to say the business is start-up, far from it. They’re incredible well established and something of a household name with one of the largest customer bases in the UK and a rich amount of customer data to boot.

You’ll just be joining a new division in the business designed to take them into the next phase of their evolution. Moving away from the process based ways of working of the past, and into a much more digitally savvy, technology enabled operation who are able to stand toe-to-toe with the brightest and shiniest of digital unicorn brands out there.

Your work will lean heavily on looking at ways of levelling up their use of data in CRM. Identifying where those opportunities exist and what needs to be done to meet them. These could be a mix of customer triggers and journey breaks. They could related to untapped customer data opportunities or even gaps in data which need bridging.

There’s a roadmap ahead of you with this too. Initially, you’ll be looking to get the groundwork in place and run a few pilots to prove concept. Then it will be time to begin building your team of Braze experts who will be building and deploying those campaigns and customer journeys.

By the end of the first year, you’re likely looking at a team in double digits around you, as you’ve scaled up the team to meet with various business objectives, as the company rolls off their old platform and onto this new one.

  • A background in CRM. Leveraging customer insight data into strategy to inform and drive customer contact strategies and planning
  • Good knowledge of data planning and data strategy
  • Ideally have some experience of Braze under your belt
  • Experience gained within a large consumer facing business who have a sophisticated CRM capability and a large customer base
  • Understand how to build a digital first programme which is cutting edge in its thinking
  • You’re very much a data centric individual who knows your way around using customer modelling, segmentations and leveraging data insight to drive decisioning
