Role:                     CRM Marketing & Data Strategy Manager
Salary:                  £50,000 to £60,000

Location:             Home based until September – Office is in Maidstone, longer-term likely only twice a week in office

ROLE SUMMARY

This is a hybrid role which bridges between a data planner/strategist and a CRM marketer. It involves a lot of time looking at the data side for opportunities, as well as the end-to-end project management of overseeing CRM campaigns themselves.

ROLE DETAILS

The company has recently gone live with a brand-new CRM platform built on Dynamics 365. It’s a bespoke customer marketing platform designed to deliver automated campaigns and customer journeys.

The business has previously delivered CRM as more of a ‘one size’ blast approach, and the move to this platform is to help build a more sophisticated, data centric strategy. One based on a new segmentation, targeting and contact strategy as well as introducing new trigger based communications and personalisation.

As part of looking to take the company’s direct mail marketing programme to the next level, automation will end up playing a big part, as well as looking to introduce, test and trial new channels like SMS and email to the programme too.

The devil is in the data for this one. Creating a new segmentation, channel and life cycle strategy for their audience. Covering all areas of the customer journey, from lead nurture through to cross and up sell. Running a lot of testing for campaign optimisation.

There’s lots of scope for performance improvement here. If you bring the right logical and process based thinking to the table, you’ll be able to define the right strategy and approach which in turn will yield impressive results.

ABOUT THE BUSINESS

You’ll be joining a global business with more than 10,000 people, specifically within the head office of one of their subsidiary, principally consumer healthcare tech, brands. One which despite its size, represents really good family values.

You will be reporting to the head of the function, and be joining a relative small but well established team. They’re looking for you to bring subject matter expertise to the table here around CRM strategy, and be able to add a lot of weight in thinking about how best to utilise their data to drive marketing automation and CRM best practice.

KEY EXPERIENCE

  • A solid pedigree in CRM – with a good knowledge of direct mail (this company’s customer demographic is an older age range, so respond well to traditional channels)
  • You’ve helped define a data led segmentation and contact strategy for a large-scale, complex customer base before
  • Real head for data and how to use it strategically and commercially
  • Good knowledge of trigger and journey communications, with a great appreciation for test and learn strategies as well as how to best implement personalisation
  • Any experience with Dynamics 365 would be beneficial, but isn’t essential
  • You’ve had experience working for a company with a large, complex customer base handling their CRM contact strategies – such as a telco, bank, utility company or even big retailer and a loyalty programme, for example.

Must be able to live and work in the UK unrestricted.
