Role: CRM Planning Manager
Location:
 Central London
Salary: £40,000 to £48,000 (based on experience)

Do you fancy joining a recognised UK super-brand’s CRM division. Not in an executional role, but instead looking to bring order and planning to their massively complex customer marketing programme?

It’s a programme executed over email, SMS, MMS, RCS and direct mail channels, and delivers around +3m customer interactions a week.

These campaigns include both promotional messaging to drive cross and upsell, retention and value growth. As well as operational messaging around tariff or product changes. This is across a wide range of products and services which adds to the complexity of campaigns.

Your role will be to organise the plan around these – helping to define strategies and campaign priorities by owning 1/4ly plans, working them down into weekly ones. Working with the propositions, campaign management and deployment teams to provide guidance and recommendations on who to contact, how to target, what best channels to deploy over, what customer journeys might look like and how they feed into the overall plan – So that when optimised, campaigns achieve improved ROI.

To do this you will need to know what best practice multi-channel direct marketing looks and how to apply that into the planning cycles you oversee.

With the weekly planning, this will involve a lot of tactical changes and so requires an ability to adapt and change based on challenges ahead of you. These can come from resolving conflicting business priorities with available bandwidth. It can also come from outside the organisation and competitor actions.

The team you will be joining is a high-performing division sitting at the heart of customer marketing. It’s a unit of around 35-40 people, and they represent a multi-product, multi-brand environment which happens to also have one of the biggest customer  in the UK.

The division as a whole delivers multi-billion pound revenues for firm annually and is instrumental to the continued commercial success of the organisation. This role really is a lynchpin position helping to achieve this. Without good quality planning putting in place an order and best practice direct marketing principals, that success won’t be realised.

EXPERIENCE NECESSARY

  • Direct Marketing background which could have been established within an agency or end client environment
  • Good knowledge of multi-channel direct marketing, including email, SMS, MMS, RCS, direct mail, etc.
  • You understand marketing planning and how to apply best practice principals, contact strategies, channel priorities, etc. to achieve optimum results
  • Have worked on a programme of size and scale before targeting a B2C audience
  • Able to talk about results achieved and how you successfully influenced them
