Position: Data Insight Analyst
Location: Hybrid, West London offices twice a week average
Salary: £40,000 to £55,000 plus bonus, pension, healthcare, etc.

Tools knowledge required: Python, SQL and Power BI

When your company’s been around for best part of a century and recognised as a real powerhouse in the FMCG space on a global stage, you know doing something right.

But how do you know you’re not missing something?

Many FMCG firms bias their insight to research, or business intelligence and reporting.

The depth of their customer analytics and commercial analytics doesn’t tend to parallel the richness or sea of information your typical telco, for example, might have around their customer.

This is this opportunity’s USP.

A relatively new team, formed just over a year ago. With the premise of bringing together the company’s data and being able to leverage it commercially to their advantage. It's all part of a massive digital transformation programme which is going to lead to significant hiring over the coming months and year to support this change.

It’s broad scope and currently relatively greenfield. Will include business facing aspects, namely in the need to understand and shape data briefs. Understanding the challenges the business might be facing, and turn that into an analytics project which you’ll be delivering to.

Those projects will vary from things on the market, understanding consumer behaviour and trends, pricing decisions, product creation, cross category performance, operations and logistics and lots more.

It all principally connects back to insights which help inform investment strategies, sales and marketing opportunities and operational efficiencies.

The data ecosystem have been moved from on-prem to cloud over the last year. They’ve done some of the data reconciliation and curation. But it’s a really big business with a huge catalogue of data to sort through.

So you’ll see the scope and opportunity for you to have an impact evolve and scale over time as these things become more valuable and useful to you too.

Your report line will be to the head of data, and there’s scope for growth as the team continues to build too. With a roadmap to increase headcount by potential 2-300% over the next 12 months as this insight function gains pace and the demand for insight continues to grow within the business.
