** Martech Start Up **

SALARY -            £50k - £65k & equity

Following steady growth over the last 5 years, this martech start up are looking to expand their growing Tech Team.

Their digital advertising optimisation product, sees them partnering with large organisations, tech providers and other agencies to deliver AI and machine learning optimised advertising performance and engagement; looking in detail at customer behaviour, engagement and conversion.

We are looking for a bit of a hybrid, someone who can easily go between the data science and software engineering team, with skills in both camps. This is essentially an R&D role, where you can flex your creative side in solving real world product problems and adding value through actionable insights and recommendations. Working closely with the CTO, you will deliver data science solutions and services for their digital advertising optimisation product. They use every bit of available relevant data from their clients to help predict which ads will or won’t do well to enable commercially valuable forecasting and audience insight.

Experience across specialisms such as NLP, sentiment analysis, text mining and AI is required as well as very strong coding and programming skills in machine learning (using Python). Their USP is their creative use of AI to improve each advert for their clients so the variety of projects and work you will gain exposure to is broad, meaning your learning curve could be steep – and joining at middleweight level, you could soon be operating at senior level within a year or two.

Culture is something that is the lifeblood of this agency and something their CEO takes very seriously. They love people from non-traditional backgrounds, and are a very diverse bunch, working hard to ensure they embrace all ethnicities, genders, age groups and disabilities.

Skills and experience required:

  • Educated to at least degree level in a numerate subject; Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Economics, Machine Learning, Computer Science etc.
  • A strong background in data science techniques as well as coding using Python
  • Experience using a wide range of machine learning techniques, but definitely including NLP and Computer Vision.
  • Ideally industry experience in marketing or advertising
  • A problem solving approach, ability to apply AI and ML techniques to real world business challenges
  • A curious nature, and inquisitive nature plus an ability to build strong relationships with co-workers, peers and senior level stakeholders
