Data Scientist / Quantitative Analyst

** Fintech Trading Platform / Sports Consultancy **

What makes Ronaldo measurably better than Messi? They’re both top of their game with mere inches between them, so how do you measure it

Goals per game, completed passes, assists, pace, dribbling ability or stamina?

Maybe just statistics on all of the above….

All of that data, measuring everything about a player, team or league. Real-time, insight nuggets which are begging to be organised and made sense of.

We are looking for a Masters or Phd graduate with proven commercial experience in sports trading or betting, as a Data Scientist to join this established data driven sports trading company.

You will have strong skills in building predictive and forecasting models in (ideally) sports betting markets, using R, Python or Matlab as well as delivering advanced predictive analytics using machine learning techniques.

You will employ techniques such as Monte Carlo Simulation, numerical optimisation, Bayesian statistics and Generalised Linear Regression modelling to help clients improve their betting results and investments.

You will work to solve complex business problems for most of the UK’s top tier gaming and gambling operators, working to leverage advanced data science techniques to answer a variety of questions.

Data underpins every decision made – on the pitch, or in business!

Join a culture of learning, collaboration and execution throughout, a team that knows their craft and are being recognised across the sports trading sector.

Based in a central London office, you will work with top clients in a powerful niche market to provide the information required to make the right decisions and build a world-class data resource.
