Debt Recovery Assistant

This role is perfect for an individual looking to make a career change into a professional services environment or someone with similar previous experience. All training will be given in the role, all that is needed is quality communication skills and confidence. This team is ever growing as they represent some of the biggest financial organisations across the UK and globally. The central duties of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Taking on over the phone debt collections
  • Assisting individuals in devising a plan to reduce and pay-back their debt
  • Researching individual cases in order to provide the best targeted advice
  • Being responsible for a caseload of debt recovery cases
  • Ensuring adherence to regulations
  • Contribution in team meetings and development

A large majority of this role is based around telephone communication, with the remainder being research and administration work. Due to the nature of the work, the successful individual for this position much be robust, yet compassionate.

 

Important points:

  • The successful candidate must have received a minimum of 5 GCSEs from A*- C grade and these must include English and Mathematics
  • This team run on a rotating shift basis, due to the service being open 8am – 6pm Monday to Friday – therefore the shifts run from 8am-4pm and 10am-6pm
  • This is a full-time, permanent position
  • The salary for this role is £19,979 with a performance-based discretionary bonus of up to £9,000 per annum, which is paid quarterly
