Job Title: Commercial Deputy Programme Director

Location: Essex

Salary: £70,417 - £81,138

 

Job Summary

The Commercial Deputy Programme Director plays a pivotal leadership role with individual and functional responsibilities for overseeing, driving, reporting, and monitoring the successful execution of a multifaceted commercial program. This role is crucial not only in ensuring the achievement of strategic goals but also in collaborating with various organizations across Essex region to secure financially sustainable services that enhance the well-being of local communities.

The organisation, dedicated to enhancing healthcare services, is developing an extensive commercial portfolio. The Commercial Deputy Programme Director will spearhead the development, implementation, and operation of an assurance, governance, and reporting system necessary for the success of these programs.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong financial background, along with extensive professional expertise, a track record of managing complex programs, exceptional management capabilities, and excellent interpersonal, influencing, and analytical skills.

In this role, the Deputy Programme Director will closely collaborate with and support the Commercial Director, aiding in management decision-making by offering guidance and advice to the Executive Senior Responsible Officer regarding programs. Additionally, they will provide assurance support to Managing Directors involved in programs.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of Commercial project portfolio, collaborating with key stakeholders and healthcare professionals to align services with regional and national policies.
  • Establish strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve program objectives.
  • Identify and engage key stakeholders, developing effective communication channels.
  • Influence key stakeholders and provide constructive challenges to program approaches.
  • Create clear visual materials, program documentation, and data for reports and presentations.
  • Oversee program activities, including project planning, governance, and benefit realization.
  • Escalate risks and issues to ensure projects and programs stay on track.
  • Drive sustainable change within program teams, utilizing project management tools and techniques.
  • Lead project managers and support the development of program management capacity.
  • Manage program finances and budgets.
  • Build and maintain systems and processes that contribute to our organization's strategy.

 

Requirements:

  • Master's level education or equivalent senior-level experience.
  • Benefit Realization qualification or equivalent.
  • Project Management Qualification (e.g., MSP, Prince2 practitioner) or equivalent.
  • Management Qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Finance Qualification or financial experience.
