Role:  Designer – Digital  – Luxury jewellery brand
Location: London offices, 1 or 2 times a week depending on meetings
Salary: £40,000 to £45,000 base
Benefits: Associated Benefits

The first thing to highlight here is this role isn’t just restricted to digital design. This role will be the only creative within the business so no creative projects are off limits. But more on this later.

If you like to be busy and enjoy design environments where the work is fast paced with quick turnarounds but remains really high quality, you’re in the right place. As this luxury brand is just that, with projects with turnaround times varying between 2 weeks down to just 2 days. In fact, the environment is really similar to what you might find in a design agency, but will be in-house, working directly for the end brand.

You might have read that and wonder if it was chaotic, well it’s not. It’s just a well oiled machine which functions day-to-day really effectively. They are starting a new brand journey and are looking for a Designer to be part of that journey.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The role is going to be working directly with the Marketing Director to refresh the brand and positioning it as true premium/luxury brand (they have over 80 years selling diamonds they should probably shout about it).

The business is a luxury Jewellery/Diamond brand with over 80 years of selling high quality diamonds and jewellery. They have both a B2B and B2C brands, this role is focused on the D2C arm of the business.

Their branding is elegant, simple and classy. Their creative approach echoes and amplifies this.

You will be expected to self-manage tasks - creating digital assets for UK market. The briefs will be varied including asset creation for web banners, digital newsletters, social media (including motion video and Gifs) as well as PDP’s.

On top of this will be the occasional need to provide support for offline design projects.

As a function, they’ve built up a wide array of beautiful designs and templates which help speed up some of the work. Making life easier, and the ability to turn around assets much more effective. This said, there will be an opportunity to have creative input too.

If you love this kind of thing and are confident you’ve got the right stuff to succeed, apply now – and please don’t forget to include a copy of your portfolio of work. We’re looking for a good array of different digital mediums, both graphic and motion-based (animations/gifs, etc.).

EXPERIENCE NECESSARY

  • Evidenced experience of doing similar to the above on behalf of a fast-paced retail, luxury brand or premium brand
  • Experience leading and managing digital creative output, creating assets
  • Some experience with offline projects like POS, package design, etc. would be useful – certainly you understand how to get something designed and set up ready for print production this not essential
  • Completely fluent with the Adobe Creative Suite – Photoshop, Dreamweaver, InDesign, Flash, Illustrator
  • Also knowledgeable on After Effects and Premier Pro
  • Collaborative working style, inclusive and very comfortable working in a small, close knit team
