Digital Marketing Executive – Programmatic & Paid Social

Salary: £35,000 to £40,000 base + 12% bonus and benefits

Location: Hemel Hempstead

Working setup: Hybrid (3 days in office) | Onsite parking

This is a hands-on Paid Social and Programmatic role for someone who enjoys the detail of campaign activation, optimisation and performance analysis, but also wants to understand the bigger commercial picture behind the work.

You’ll be joining a high-profile consumer brand with a significant digital footprint, working across paid social, programmatic display, video and YouTube activity. You’ll be creating, activating and optimising campaigns that drive high-quality, qualified traffic into the business across all its product offerings.

The people who tend to do well in this environment are bright, commercially switched on, organised, curious, and comfortable working at pace. They care about the detail, but they also want to know why something is working, what can be improved, and how performance can be pushed further.

The role

You’ll work closely with the Head of Function and as part of a broader Digital Performance team which will encompass paid search, SEO, affiliates, CRM - and alongside brand, commercial and digital product.

They deal with big budget, large scale, complex campaigns, with a paid media budget in the 8 figure range.

Day to day, you’ll be involved in:

  • Creating and managing programmatic display and video campaigns
  • Building, launching and optimising paid social campaigns
  • Monitoring campaign pacing, budgets and KPI performance
  • Analysing campaign data and turning it into clear recommendations
  • Working with creative and brand teams to ensure ads are high quality, relevant and performance-led
  • Supporting reporting for internal stakeholders and commercial meetings
  • Helping test, learn and improve campaign performance across channels

If you’re coming from a media agency, performance marketing team or digital trading environment and have exposure to programmatic, DV360, Amazon DSP, CM360 or similar platforms, with an ambition to broaden your horizon into other channels, this is your learning opportunity.

All the end company is asking for is evidence of solid hands-on programmatic/media activation, with experience managing campaign set-up, optimisation, reporting, tracking and budget reconciliation. The other aspects which make up this role will be taught.

This is the kind of role that gives you proper exposure.

You’ll be close to the numbers, the creative, the trading decisions and the commercial impact. You’ll get to work across multiple paid media channels, contribute to campaign recommendations, working as part of an in-house team who are well respected for delivering high quality output and results.

For someone ambitious, data-led and commercially curious, it is a strong next move.

EXPERIENCE NEEDED

You do not need to be the finished article. But you do need to be credible around digital campaign delivery and genuinely interested in performance marketing.

You’ll likely bring:

  • Hands-on exposure programmatic display/video – setting up, running, optimising campaigns
  • Experience with tools such as DV360, CM360, Amazon DSP, The Trade Desk, Power BI, Looker Studio, IAS, Prisma or similar would be useful

  • The ability to combine campaign delivery, data interpretation, stakeholder communication and a strong operational mindset.
  • Good Excel skills and comfort working with campaign data
  • Strong attention to detail when building, checking and optimising activity
  • Confidence interpreting performance numbers and explaining what they mean
  • A curious mindset, where you want to test, optimise and improve
