Micromanagement stifles creativity!

Okay, so that’s not much of a newsflash and we haven’t told you something you don’t already know, but luckily, you have the opportunity to be as creative as you like with this company. In fact, imagination, innovation and originality is positively encouraged, and as for micromanagement, well, what is that all about anyway?

You will be working as part of a small, supportive team within a growing travel company that combines hard work and productivity with fun and reward. You must have demonstrable outreach experience engaging key media outlets and social influencers, and a provable background in public relations which undoubtedly display your ability to build productive and valuable relationships. You will preferably have an existing list of contacts, especially within the travel or lifestyle sector so you can immediately begin establishing an outreach campaign with.

You will work within the marketing team where you will be encouraged to conceive and propose original and creative ideas and content briefs that will promote the company and its service.

You’re an effective communicator who is a creative cut above the rest. Not only will you already have proven experience in building and maintaining strong relationships with journalists and influencers alike, but will also be highly skilled in creating a range of informative, entertaining and enjoyable content not limited to copywriting.

Your range of skills and knowledge will enable you to create dynamic, attention grabbing copy and content in the form of landing pages, articles, gifs, polls and infographics your target audience are happy to hit the share button on.

Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Heading outreach and relationship building campaign with influencers and journalists
  • SEO friendly content creation with regular keyword analysis and review
  • Pitching information to a range of online media
  • Creating variety of shareable written and visual online content
  • Monitoring competitors and keeping informed on industry changes and news in order to produce up-to-date and original content
  • Conceiving, creating and executing digital content campaigns
  • Building and executing an effective link building strategy with relevant publishers
  • Delivering campaigns within allotted budget and managing financial information accordingly

Skills and Experience:

  • Able to evidence where you’ve presented and delivered original, imaginative ideas and strategies
  • Proven history within PR/Marketing sector – agency or client side
  • Identifying and engaging both key media outlets and social influencers
  • Proven experience in placing press articles and generating positive media coverage
  • Photo and video editing skills (Photoshop/Adobe or similar)
  • Additional infographic and graphic design skills a distinct advantage
  • Experience writing for the web with search optimised copy
  • Experience and contacts within travel and lifestyle industry an advantage
