If you’re a strong medical final signatory who’d like to hear about an incredibly interesting and challenging above country role I’d love to have a conversation with you.

I’m working with the EU headquarters of a well-established, global research based pharmaceutical company who are going through a major organisational transformation.  Driving a best in class medical / medical compliance culture is a fundamental part of that change and as a result they’re building a new function within the EU medical team with specific responsibility for final signatory work at an EU level.

The role has a mixture of responsibilities.  Clearly the fundamental focus of the role is review and final approval of all types of promotional material.  Aside from that the role holder would be responsible for initiating projects for process improvement, driving cultural change and having a strong contribution to matters relating to promotional material approval.

As this is a new function it is expected that the person doing the job will have a strong voice in terms of what needs to be done and how it should be done.  There is significantly more to the role than straightforward, transactional sign off and it’s fair to say that the role holder will have one of the most visible, important jobs in the medical organisation.

As a result I want to hear from people who really know what they’re doing from an ABPI code perspective.  While there is always a need to understand and respect commercial imperatives my client is committed to ensuring that these are carried out within a robust, clear and respected compliance framework.  I’m therefore looking for someone who can provide a solutions-based approach and who is capable of building great, constructive relationships across a broad range of stakeholders.

In terms of the specific experience that I need I’m looking for people with an existing, strong background as a final signatory.  This will mean that you’re a UK registered pharmacist or GMC registered physician.  It is not necessary for you to have worked at an above country level and this would be an excellent opportunity for a UK / ABPI final medical signatory to move into a European role.  It is not expected that overseas travel would be a regular necessity.

This is a truly exciting opportunity for someone who wants to make a really meaningful contribution and grow their career.  You’ll have a great chance to make the role your own and make a huge difference.

If that sounds good it would be fantastic to hear from you for so that I can tell you more.
