The target audience….

How do you take one of the world’s premiere FMCG businesses, with products which cut across almost every category of the supermarket, and help them adapt to a digital world with a growing contingent of Gen-Z consumers?

ABOUT THE ROLE

You’re the business lead for a centre of excellence which sits at the heart of the world’s biggest FMCG giant. Telling their business what good looks like, and how to build effective ecommerce strategies for a business which doesn’t sell direct to the consumer.

Advising them on best ways to leverage digital channels which aren’t their own, and how to put their best foot forward to be effective and meaningful on marketplaces like Amazon. Helping them adapt and evolve their digital eco-system and capabilities to continue to connect with the next generation of consumers. Keeping their brands front of mind, driving social commerce and continuing to evolve and innovate. Breaking new ground in digital as the eco-system itself continues to evolve and moves with the customer.

You’ll be working across all categories from detergents to chocolate, dairy to hair care. If there’s an isle in a supermarket for it, chances are, they’ve got a brand sitting at the “eye-line is buy-line” for it.

But there’s a twist with this one, as whilst you are working for and onsite with this FMCG behemoth, you’ll actually be working for their agency as an embedded resource.

What you’ll be doing is providing the strategic leadership and direction to a team of 10+ reports. Driving the global ecommerce and broader digital capabilities for the FMCG giant forward.

This will include all aspect of etail, from the clicks and mortar strategies needed to succeed online with major supermarkets. To the strategies needed to succeed and innovate with pure-play digital etailers and online marketplaces too.

But this isn’t just about driving ecommerce, it’s broader than that and will include social media strategy and how content and social media can be effective online sales drivers.

This is the home of good marketing, a place with a real heritage in driving innovation. A bastion of brilliant, and centre for many an MBA and post-graduate thesis on why their brands are so successful, and why they’re such a brilliant home for marketing excellence and innovation.

Why there may be a long-term future available

  • The end client is a real destination employer, and you won’t just be doing what they say. But providing strategic leadership and input to their business. Shaping their global digital and ecommerce future through this centre of excellence set up
  • An amazing working environment. The days you go to office will seem like you’re going to a real destination. Somewhere you will actually like spending time and isn’t just a desk and a screen at the end of an uncomfortable commute.
