  • Accountability, ownership and trust to pitch, lead and innovate
  • Join a team growing at pace due to quality of talent and in turn highly successful output

LOCATION -             Central London/Remote to begin with

SALARY -                  £85k & benefits

Having recently won an additional significant stake in a global sports brand account (making them their largest agency supplier for creative and production worldwide) this global digital agency are looking to grow the centralised data team in order to support its growth and in turn the growth of other clients in the same vein, from an analytical perspective.

You will lead a team of 10-15 analytics experts who specialise in the media/audience, social and web analytics plus data science and marketing performance - so a broad analytics understanding is key in order to lead from the front, but we can also be a little flexible around where your main strengths lie across this spectrum.

What’s crucial is the ability to grasp this opportunity with both hands, set a strategy for the client around measurement and data solutions, and scale and grow the capabilities and team. You will need to demonstrate you have the adaptability to work with a global client, who is going to have varied and complex requirements, across different regions and therefore we require a certain level of relationship management, innovative thinking as well as an understanding of what’s possible.

You report into the Director of Data for the whole agency, who has an impressive data agency background, and the plan is to grow the function and in turn offering, significantly, so you will be joining at an exciting time of growth and change; a huge opportunity to diversify your skills across lots of different analytical projects and own the analytics team and vision.

This is a hands on role, requiring someone who can roll their sleeves up initially to deliver to the initial workload and strategy, whilst also work towards scaling and growing the solutions and team, eventually moving towards more of a strategic lead position. A combination of experience in attribution modelling, econometrics, customer journey analysis, digital tagging implementation, social media measurement, data science and eCommerce platform experience would be great!

But given this is a lot to ask for, the focus right now is around media analytics and social. So strong analytics experiences both these disciplines is essential, coupled with any bonus background in data science and/or more traditional customer and marketing analytics.

You will also need to be very comfortable with building out reporting solutions and frameworks as BI and insights will be a strong focus for this role across a variety of channels; so again, tools such as Alteryx, Tableau and Power BI should be familiar to you.

Ultimately, being a brand new role this offers a unique greenfield opportunity to grow your analytical skills, build your own team, and own the analytics offering for one of the most successful digital agencies in the world!

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Educated to degree level in a numerate subject
  • Experience in leveraging traditional media analytics techniques such as market mix modelling (MMM), attribution modelling, A/B testing around optimisation and working with ad server data in a cloud environment
  • Skilled in measuring social media (both paid and organic) marketing activity and usage behaviour and trends
  • Strong understanding around digital, web and content marketing and how to effectively measure its performance using tagging and journey analytics
  • Ideally some experience with more tradition statistical customer insight analytics and modelling would be preferred, but is not essential
  • Strong hands-on technical skills using a combination of some of the following tools: Python, R, SQL, Adobe, Google Analytics, Google Big Query, Sprinklr, Crimson Hexagon, Brandwatch, Optimizely, Alteryx
  • Ability to story tell and bring data to life through the delivery of actionable insights and engaging presentations
  • Strong knowledge around how to build out visually engaging reporting solutions and dashboards
  • Experience in leading or managing teams is essential
  • Ideally experience of pitching for new business
