Head of Customer Strategy

We are looking to hire an experienced, entrepreneurial and ambitious customer data specialist, for this a specialist customer engagement agency. Over the years they have adapted their offering in line with the market's demand for analytics, data science and insights platforms which support this. They recognise the thirst for insight and how important this is in delivering truly effective marketing and business growth.  


In this brand-new role, you will work as a senior level consultant across an impressive range of Blue Chip clients including retail banks, ecommerce retailers, high street retailers and airlines. You will be facing into c-suite executives, delivering consultancy and advice around how to get the best out of their first party data, working to package and productise those capabilities for each individual client. You will may not receive detailed briefs, so will need to establish your client's requirements through consultancy and discussion, working to shape solutions and projects. 


The agency have developed a Customer Insight Platform which has been deployed to the aforementioned clients, as well as some smaller to medium sized business which they are working on growing for future business. So, you will need to have a credible background and knowledge in analytics, data and associated capabilities in order to advise clients.


The plan beyond appointing this role is to build a team of high calibre specialists who will work with you to continuing growing this offering, so any experience in building or managing teams will be viewed favourably.  


It’s also highly likely you will have management consultancy experience, as this is an appropriate indicator of the type of thinker are looking for, so if you have worked for one of eht big six (McKinsey, Accenture, Deloitte, KPMG, Bain, PWC, E&Y) or a customer analytics consultancy such as Dunnhumby, this would translate well.

LOCATION:         Central London

SALARY:             £80k - £120k plus excellent benefits, bonus & shares


Experienced required:

  • Educated to degree level in a relevant subject such as marketing or mathematics, statistic etc.
  • Highly experienced in consultative selling and the ability to shape bespoke data solutions for end clients
  • Comfortable and credible in dealing with c-suite exec level stakeholders
  • Ability to provide advice on how clients can leverage first party data sources through innovation and change, for improved marketing and business growth
  • Background in shaping customer marketing strategies, as well as contextual understanding of data capabilities around analytics and insight
  • Some experience of working within a management consultancy
  • Team leadership experience and the desire to grow and lead a team
