Role:        Head of Data Strategy
Location:    Central London offices, likely 2-3 days a week
Salary:        Up to £70,000 basic plus benefits

To be candid, this is a 12 month engagement for a maternity cover.

You’ll be leading a small team and reporting to a Director who’s approachable, engaging and inspiring. Someone who really knows their stuff and is a champion for change within the business, and a real support for you in helping to land some of these changed.

Your team handles the contact strategy for the business with its customer. They’re the gateway for the marketing team’s access to the customer across all the company’s product offerings.

This means you’ll be the key gatekeeper for CRM data. Ensuring it’s fit for purpose and able to deliver to the businesses’ requirements in campaign outputs.

You’ll also be defining and championing a unified contact strategy which optimises the customer experience and reduces over or ineffective contact from the business.

You and your team will sit between the Marketing and Data Science functions, working closely with both. Understanding the needs of marketing and ensuring the right capabilities are in place to deliver to current and anticipating future needs. Then working with the Data Science teams to ensure future models and insights are developed by them to help your team deliver to their own objectives too.

Your role will be visible and influential in the business. Particularly with the marketing unit, helping them to become more self-sufficient in campaign execution. With you and your team helping to set them up for success in this ambition. Making sure the data they need is at their fingertips.

KEY EXPERIENCE

-    You’ll be part data planner, part data strategist but full-blooded CRM data across both digital and offline channels
-    An experienced team leader
-    You’ve helped define a data led segmentation and contact strategy for a large-scale, complex customer base before
-    Real head for data and how to use it strategically and commercially
-    Good knowledge of trigger and journey communications, with a great appreciation for test and learn strategies as well as how to best implement personalisation
-    A problem solving approach, ability to apply analytics to improve customer understanding and in turn CRM and marketing campaign performance through the use of data strategies
