Insight & Reporting Analyst

LOCATION - Worthing, Surrey

SALARY - £35k - £45k plus benefits and shares!

Having established themselves two years ago, this analytical start-up consultancy are looking to expand the business, in line with ambitious growth plans.They are now looking to hire an Insight Analyst to bolster their ‘men on the ground’ and step up their delivery to clients. You will need to understand how to derive insight from data, as you’ll work closely with clients to extract valuable understanding from their data, using statistical analytical skills to unearth valuable trends, helping to solve business problems and answer business questions through analysis.

Technical skills required - SQL needs to be strong and at least one of either Tableau, Power BI, Qlik maybe SSRS or similar. Ideally you will also need to be an intermediate coder with either Python or R for statistical, deep dive, exploratory analysis; but this is a 'nice to have' rather than essential requirement.

You will be visualising a lot of data for clients in the form of dashboards, so you’ll need to create data visualisations and provide commentary to communicate analytical findings. The reporting will be on any key trends you find through analysis and manipulation of the data. 

Personal attributes are hugely important in this role, as you will be walking into a fast growth start up environment, a small business currently with ambitions to grow quickly. So you need to be adaptable, on board with the company vision, wiling to get ‘stuck in’ and deliver across a variety of projects, innovate and take responsibility and accountability for your deliverables.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Educated to degree level in a numerate subject; Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, Statistics, Machine Learning, Computer Science
  • Ideally proven coding experience using R or Python, but this is not essential.
  • Skilled in visualising data, building dashboards using tools such as Tableau, Qlik or Power BI (or similar)
  • Background in data insights, employing statistical analytical techniques to solve business problems
  • Strong communication skills in order to lead from the front and guide clients, supporting in the growth of the analytics offering
  • Engaging with non-technical audiences on technical projects and delivering impactful presentations around actionable insights
  • Interest in joining a start-up environment, small team, all hands-on deck approach!
