Role: Interim Marketing Automation Manager
Working location: Fully remote, UK based
Inside IR35 Rate: £400 to £500 per day
Term: Until January 2023 minimum

You’ll be providing support to a global organisation, working across all territories, handling the build, execution and optimisation of their marketing automation campaigns.

These campaigns support lead generation, nurture and in-life customer management goals of an international B2B EdTech operation.

It’s all built, maintained and managed in Salesforce, as a mix of SFMC solutions and Eloqua. Since the principal audience these campaigns are for are made up of further and higher education establishments around the world.

Projects tend to be large-scale and complex, including sophisticated customer journeys.

This makes this role bias towards needing someone who’s really solid and capable on the technical side of things. Able to through campaign logic, journey mapping and build. Then know how to measure and optimise those journeys, improving effectiveness. Articulating the outcomes and impact to the marketing teams around the world.

This is a digital first environment, and campaigns go across social and paid media channels too. Email is really their primary, so campaigns need to be built as such. Ensuring content is email ready, adopting a test and learn approach with up-coming campaigns to ensure it’s going to perform well and deliver desired outcomes.

Because of the global nature of the role, and having stakeholder in both UK and APAC regions, from time to time there may be the need to slide your working day around to align with meetings with those international regions.

To be clear, this doesn’t mean ‘extend’ your working day. It’s ‘change the hours’ for when those occasions may arise. But principally you’re most likely to be operating within what’s considered typical UK working hours.

Why has this arisen?

You’ll be covering a secondment position which is due to run until at least January 2023. After which this contract engagement will either extend whilst the business looks to hire a permanent replacement, or the current incumbent moves back into this position.

Experience needed

  • Solid marketing automation credentials and knowledge of Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC), including Eloqua
  • Other automation solutions including Pardot and Marketo will be considered, if you happen to have experience in the Education/EdTech industry doing marketing automation
  • Confident technical skills in the build side of things
  • Good knowledge of test and learn. With a sound grasp of measurement and optimisation techniques
  • Extensive email marketing and campaign management experience
  • Editorial/copy skills for email campaigns useful
  • Sound experience in managing large-scale campaigns
