Job Title:               International Product Marketing Manager - EdTech
Location:               London or Sussex – able to work flexibly 2-3 days from office/home
Salary:                    £40,000 to £55,000 plus benefits
Term:                     Initially a 12 month fixed term engagement, likely moving to permanent.

Why might you consider this fixed-term opportunity versus a permanent one?

If you’re looking to do something a little bit different. Something experimental. Something new. You like the chance to bring fresh thinking to the table and not just follow a well trodden path in how to market a product – that’s why.

You see, this one is not a traditional product marketing remit. It shows all the hallmarks like it should be. But it’s within a brand new unit. One which doesn’t hold the BAU product sets of this globally established Edtech firm.

This team is going to be responsible for launching and promoting a suite of brand new offerings. They’re a set of digital learning platforms.

This also addresses why this role is initially being engaged on a fixed term basis, as it’s all new and really experimental. But based on current projections, the firm is anticipating rapid acceleration of team growth as this new product set is launched into each international region.

You also won’t be tied to traditional thinking about how to go to market and promote the products. Instead they’re looking to embrace a much more experimental mentality, a kind of ‘move fast and break things’ approach. Believing that by really understanding who the audience is and how to engage them, the rest will organically follow.

What the role’s about?

The target audience will be international students. Looking to promote, attract and engage them on a range of new education courses offered on behalf of a number of Universities. They’re a brand new set of courses delivered over a completely new digital platform too.

A lot of what you’ll be doing is building and executing campaigns to drive interest and enrolment metrics for the company’s new suite of e-learning products. Working in partnership with the Universities themselves, ensuring their brands are represented in the appropriate manner and promotional strategies not only align with their commercial goals, but also their brand requirements.

In addition to this because the product is new, another key element to this role will be marketing to new prospective University partners. Looking to drive awareness and interest in adopting the platform as part of their own offering. Increase access options and routes to market by partnering with these new Universities and the student audiences they attract.

The final element to this involves branding. The proposition is due to launch later this year, and so if you join ahead of this, you will have the opportunity to be involved in the conversations around the branding of the product itself before it hits the market.

Performance measures of the role itself will include:

  • Student signups to this new education platform at key enrolment windows
  • New product launches and go to market execution
  • Increasing diversity metrics of both students themselves and courses signed up to

On the growth side, no KPI’s have been set yet because this is so new. So you will play a part in helping to establish this as the division matures and products take flight.

EXPERIENCE NEEDED

  • Education or Edtech marketing experience will be a real benefit
  • Previous experience in product marketing
  • Not afraid to experiment with marketing techniques and channels in an effort to engage an audience
  • Customer centric mentality
  • Any experience in international marketing would be beneficial
  • Able to deal with ambiguity – especially noting as this function is so new. So there’s no direct roadmap to follow in how to get things done
