Title: IT Network Specialist Location: South West London Salary: £49,178 - £55,492 per annum (including Outer London HCAS) Job Overview: The IT Network Specialist role focuses on maintaining a robust network infrastructure to meet the evolving requirements of healthcare services. The department maintains over 200 servers, serves 4,000 end users, and operates two data centers. This role is a permanent position within the IT Network Services Team, serving as an expert in IT Networks. The ideal candidate should be self-driven and eager to develop in their role. Key Responsibilities: Install, upgrade, operate, control, maintain, and effectively use local and remote networks. Maintain the security, integrity, and confidentiality of LAN and WAN services. Implement network controls and procedures to protect information systems. Handle inquiries, requests for guidance, and incident resolution related to IT infrastructure. Investigate and diagnose complex network problems and work to maintain overall network performance. Person Specification: Qualifications (Essential): CISCO Certified Network Associate in Routing and Switching. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a large organization. Qualifications (Desirable): Cisco Certified Network Professional – Routing and Switching. Experience (Essential): Fault diagnosis and root cause analysis in complex networks. Experience maintaining an enterprise-level infrastructure using Cisco technologies. Expertise in configuration and change management systems and procedures. Experience (Desirable): Familiarity with Cisco Prime Network Management Tools, LAN, and Wireless. Knowledge of quality management systems, including procedure and policy development and maintenance.
