Junior Web Analyst – National Retailer

LOCATION -     London

SALARY -         £25k - £30k plus excellent benefits & development opportunities

The opportunity

Like a lot of well-established retailers here in the UK, there is great opportunity to evolve old ways of working and attitudes to using data to drive decisioning, ultimately becoming truly data driven and customer centric – and this retailer have fully committed to putting the customer, digital and DATA first!

As a fresh mind into the world of analytics, this is a unique opportunity to be part of POSITIVE change within a data rich environment.

The role

This is a chance to be part of an evolution, helping one of the UK’s most famous department stores transition to a more data driven culture, where customer behaviour drives multichannel marketing and joined up thinking around customer journey and experience. You will sit within a team of Analysts which delivers regular reporting across the business (both regular and ad hoc requests), digital optimisation and web analytics around customer journey and online customer behaviour, supporting Station10 in providing an end-to-end view of the Debenhams customer from instore to online. This team will grow as the step change is made and analytics becomes embedded within decision making processes and demand grows and new opportunities are identified.

Technically their favoured tools are Adobe Analytics (web analytics), SQL and Tealium IQ (for tagging) but as long as you have some experience with Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics, they can upskill you in the rest!

Culture & Person Fit

The culture within this retailer is a very strong one – highly sociable, friendly and fast paced (naturally, given it’s retail!). There is a real sense of ‘in it together’ and with a clear vision from an inspirational leader, exciting times lie ahead for this much loved retailer.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED/RESPONSIBILITES

  • Educated to degree level in a numerate or marketing related subject
  • Experience in using web analytics tools, either Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics is ESSENTIAL – even if it’s only basic level
  • A strong desire for personal growth and development, confident working in a business facing environment
  • A problem solving approach, with a positive yet questioning mind set
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to translate complex analysis into well structured, action orientated presentations, recommendations and insights
