Key Account Manager - Pharmaceutical Industry

Territory: South West & Midlands

Overview:

We are seeking a Key Account Manager to join a mid-sized pharmaceutical company who provide consulting services on managed access programs. Experience of promoting services to NHS clients and knowledge of unlicensed medicines will be highly advantageous for this position. This opportunity is entirely field based and largely independent, so it is important that you love travel and are confident in your ability to self-motivate and organise your time effectively.

The key responsibilities for this role are:

  • Consistently deliver on revenue targets set annually
  • Successfully identify strategically important clients and build mutually beneficial partnerships
  • Demonstrate excellent relationship management and negotiation skills at all times when representing the company
  • Development and implement region specific sales plans
  • Show commercial acumen and an awareness of competitor activity

Required Experience:

  • Proven knowledge of NHS strategies for procurement of named patient medicines
  • Proven track record of succeeding within a target driven environment
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to analyse trends and forecast competitor information
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills, with the ability to work independently
  • Life sciences degree desirable
