Role: Marketing Copywriter
Location: Birmingham will be the principal site.
Salary: £28,000 to £32,000 plus 10% bonus, pension, healthcare, life assurance and lots more.
Office/Home working: Between 2-3 days from office per week maximum

This is for a team build, looking for Copywriters both junior and senior, to join one of the highest profile marketing led firms in the country.

And one of the biggest marketing spenders…

You’ll be joining their marketing team, in squads made up of customer marketers, digital, creative and of course copywriters.

Each squad is in effect its own internal agency. Engaging with the wider business to create and deliver campaigns to the company’s customer base.

These campaigns are a mix of long and short form copy, for both digital and offline audience consumption. Typically working on things like social media posts, SMS campaigns, direct mailers, email copy and the odd ad campaign too.

Some of the stuff you’ll be getting involved with will include multiple steps and stages as part of a customer’s journey, and across multiple channels. So, the copy you’ll be producing needs to be clear, concise and engaging.

The customer needs to not just understand it, but for it to have an impact too. Be that in terms of building a brand image or delivering commercially by being compelling and cutting through, should it be a direct sales or advertising message.

But you get this, as the written word is your weapon of choice, and you know how a few carefully placed ones can land the right impression and lead people to take the right actions.

About you

As we’re looking for a number of appointments at different levels, we’re interested in people who are starting their journey in copywriting but have a bit of commercial experience under their belts. Right through to experienced hands who’ve worked for agencies or client side, and have a good portfolio of work behind them doing this kind of thing.

Here's some of the bullet points:

  • You’ll likely hold a degree in English, or similar
  • A real passion for the written word, and able to create compelling messages succinctly
  • Your CV will likely be a showcase of who you are, what you do, and delivers it in a compelling way
  • If you’ve had experience of working in Agile environments, fab!
  • Great story telling skills using the written word
  • Understand how to craft compelling messages and use language to spark people’s imagination
