Marketing Manager – ATL/Direct Response Marketing

SALARY -                    $100,000 - $125,000 CAD plus bonus and excellent benefits

LOCATION -               Ontario, Canada offices opening in future.  Currently fully remote role.

SUMMARY

This is a ‘ground floor’ opportunity to join an already internationally established gaming firm as they look to establish themselves in the Canadian market. With you taking on the role owning their direct response marketing campaigns, looking to grow market presence and drive customer acquisition metrics through a mix of ATL channel campaigns, PR and sponsorship opportunities.

THE BUSINESS

You’ll be joining a scaling business in the gaming industry. They began their journey in the UK years ago and have since opened operations in multiple European countries as well as Canada and eyeing up opportunities in the USA over the coming year too.

They’re one of the good guys of gaming. Celebrated for having an ethical standpoint in the industry and acting somewhat as a consumer champion.

ROLE

Their Canadian operation is fledgling at present but scaling. You will be reporting to the Country Head, someone who’s established the company’s digital presence in region. With you taking control of their multi-channel direct response marketing campaigns.

The media mix will include a traditional ATL including TV, press, OOH, radio and online. Plus you will be in charge of establishing the company’s sponsorship strategy, coupled with earned PR campaigns too.

The company’s recently unveiled a new creative campaign platform, you will unpack and adapt for use in country.

You won’t be doing this alone, and will have budget allocated for agency usage. But you need to vet and select the roster of agencies you want to work with. They will cover creative, media strategy and buying as well as campaign execution and measurement.

This is a performance marketing environment, driven by test and learn with a close focus on CPA across each marketing channel.

You’ve got to have a good handle on data. Particularly when it comes to campaign performance, understanding channel attribution and how to identify what to tweak, how, etc. in order to achieve the desired results.

What’s great about this is the opportunity to have such a big influence on the firm’s early successes in market. Plus the latitude and freedom to operate at pace, with a ton of autonomy. But also whilst knowing there’s a much larger and well established business behind you who have an internationally established model for success already in place.

EXPERIENCE NEEDED

  • Experience owning a direct response marketing programme which includes TV media in the channel mix,  targeting a B2C audience
  • Able to talk about successes in driving down CPA rates through optimising marketing and media mix
  • Knowledge and experience in identifying and activating sponsorships for a business before
  • Have experience in delivering high impact PR campaigns to promote a brand
  • Have pulled together agency rosters before and managed their performance
  • Evidence of working with large marketing and media budgets
  • Data driven marketer with a real understanding of how to dig into performance data
