Job Title:             Marketing Manager (US, Denmark or Finland) - Travel

Location:             Central London

Salary:                  £30,000 to £37,000 (DoE)

How would you like to spend your day talking about holidays and get paid for it?

You’d be doing it in either Suomalainen, Dansk or English in a role which markets holidays to either Finnish, Danish or US audiences. There are 3 roles available – one for each country team.

There is some work to do too – but since you’ll be working in the marketing division for a dot com travel firm, it’s fair to say talking about them will be a pretty big part of your day.

But it’s not all talk, talk, talk. There’s gonna be a fair bit of writing to do – producing engaging copy for the website which positions the various destinations to country specific audiences (being US, Denmark and Finland – if you hadn’t guessed).

But it’s not all talking and writing either.

You’ll be the lynchpin sitting between the marketing, digital and product teams. Kicking behinds and taking names (well, organising people really), getting projects organised and over the line. Ensuring your part of the global website is performing well with the audience you’re looking to connect with.

Ensuring new destinations, hotels and accommodations (aka ‘Product’ in travel speak) is positioned correctly and reflective of exactly what the target audience wants.

Connecting the dots with the marketing team so their campaigns are appropriate and effective. Working with the contracts team to make sure they’re getting the right ‘product’ onboard for your respective market too.

No two days will be the same, and you’re going to have a lot of autonomy to shape the look and feel of the website by how the ‘product’ is represented.

Plus there the perk of discounted holidays too – so you can scratch your own travel itch without breaking the bank.

 

About you

  • You’ve lived and worked in Finland, Denmark or the US, and able to converse at native level in one of those languages
  • You’re fluent in English too (and haven’t had to dump this into Google Translate to understand it)
  • You’ll probably be a multi-discipline marketer with a pretty decent handle on project management
  • You love writing copy for the web, and in particular, would love to write about beautiful, far off destinations
  • Great working with people… getting them organised, getting projects completed
  • You love the freedom of smaller, agile firms. The breadth of scope this gives in the roles you take on and ability to just get stuff done
