As a Marketing Planner, you’re responsible for defining the roadmap of what propositions are launching and when for a multi-billion pound consumer brand organisation.

You’ll be the conduit, with visibility of all proposition launch plans as well as tracking their performance in market. Ensuring stakeholders know what’s happening, when, that all channels and teams are properly aligned and responsible for the single point of truth in all these things.

You’ll have financial oversight too – ensuring there’s proper funding in place to support propositions – not just for launch planning, but whilst in-flight too throughout the financial year.

In addition, you’ll be responsible for the reporting which goes to the C-Suite – giving a snapshot on what’s happening on a quarterly basis. Bringing both plans and results achieved to life in a meaningful way, including financial forecasting for the quarter ahead based on the marketing plans you’ve been responsible for shaping up.

This is a multi-proposition environment with lots of moving parts. So keeping abreast of, and helping to prioritise, proposition launch planning is going to be really important.

Ensuring excellence in go to market actions, and adjusting plans to ensure optimal impact and success is realised in what is a highly competitive market place. But whilst making tweaks and changes, it’s also incredibly important to keep an eye on the bigger-picture, longer-term objectives to ensure all these goals are achieved.

Your core KPI in this role will be ‘time to market’, ensuring the marketing projects you oversee and the planning roadmap you deliver to are met.

It’s important to underline in this role you’re not the person responsible for idea creation when it comes to things like propositions or go to market, but are the gatekeeper and planner, ensuring it all runs to plan, with the proper resource support, is on budget and on time.

WHO SHOULD APPLY?

This role will suit you if you’ve worked in a structured marketing environment before and been responsible for planning and overseeing delivery of things such as proposition development, go to market activity, marketing campaigns, etc. Where you’ve had to manage large stakeholder groups and ensure they’re each well aligned with clear understandings of expectations and delivery schedules. So you’re able to evidence both your organising skills of processes and people, as well as delivery projects to time and budget.

So if you’re interested in a role which will give you meaningful impact and opportunities to shine, this could be just what you’ve been looking for!
