My client is the European Headquarters of a global, research based pharma company.  They’re going through a period of profound, positive change and need great people to join them on that journey.  As part of an ongoing investment in building a best in class medical affairs culture they’re recruiting for a medical excellence manager.

The role holder would work in support of the VP EU Medical and would be responsible for initiating and driving projects across a number of key areas. Including;

Driving value through cross functional partnerships

Establishing consistent standards

Ensuring a great medical compliance culture

Process development and implementation

Acting as the deputy for the Head of Medical.

This is a broad and far reaching role with the highest levels of visibility across the region both at an EU HQ level and through direct engagement with medical leaders at an affiliate level.

I’m looking for someone with

Strong, broad and well established medical affairs experience.  This could come from a wide variety of backgrounds including medical information, medical liaison, medical advisor, medical compliance or in a dedicated medical excellence capacity.

Great project management skills

Very good interpersonal and influencing skills.

It’s worth noting that there is no specific requirement for a particular qualification or medical registration.

The opportunity would suit someone who wants to help build a new culture and environment where there is a strong commitment to and mandate for medical excellence.
