Everyone’s trying to do their bit to get through this.  A lot of us are looking on at the people at the forefront of the effort to get on top of Covid-19 and wishing we could do more to contribute meaningfully.

The person taking this role on will be doing just that.

You’ll be ensuring that bang up to date information on products is available to Health Care Professionals, company affiliates and notably third party medical information providers on products that could make a difference in the Covid-19 space.  The rather variable quality of information being put out in the world in general will not be mirrored by the rigorously accurate and current data and responses you and your team will be providing.

An important aspect of what you’ll be doing is acting as a link between the drug developer and the companies they engage to provide first and second line medical information enquiry handling services.  Ensuring that there’s a really fluent and well managed flow of the most current, accurate information as well as training and ensuring a top flight level of understanding of the products.  You’ll also be responsible for oversight of vendor performance including compliance to all relevant codes of conduct.

As you can easily imagine this is a rapidly developing and changing situation and you’ll be working in a high visibility, incredibly important role.  There’ll be limits on access to resources that would normally be inconceivable.  You’ll therefore be an imaginative, highly focused and highly adaptable professional who can look at a problem and perceive it as a challenge you’ll overcome.

You’ll have the following combination of experiences and skills as an absolute minimum;

  • A solid background in pharmaceutical industry medical information management.  This will not come from an NHS or front-line health care environment but could potentially have been gained working for a high quality medical information service provider in a leadership role.
  • An ability to lead and motivate a team as well as initiating and driving relevant projects within medical information.
  • You’ll absolutely have a good understanding of local and regional codes of conduct.

If this sounds like you and you want to be part of the solution rather than watching from the side-lines, you’ll want to talk right?  Here’s how;
