See your work go worldwide.

On computer screens and mobile devices, via website banners, social feeds, in direct marketing and even in video animations with 5 second countdowns in the bottom right… but you’ve made them engaging and creative enough, they pause the viewers urge to smash the ‘skip’ button. At least the first time anyway.

Creatively, the best way to summarise this role is ‘versatile’.

The reason for this is because of the breadth of work you’ll be undertaking.

In the main it all conforms to digital design, working on marketing campaigns. But there’s a real diversity to the things you’ll be getting involved in. Plus for good measure, there’s a bit of offline in there too.

Here’s a brief summary of some of the things you’ll be putting to good use

  • Graphic design skills
  • Layout design experience
  • Typography skills
  • Animation skills using Adobe Animate and After Effects
  • Able to pull together both static and animated banners using After Effects
  • A bit of UX knowledge, which if you’ve already got will be fab. But they’re also teaching this too.
  • The ability to do conceptual designs across a range of formats which will cover both online and print

Being the mid-weight, you’re going to need to have enough experience that you’re able to get up to speed quickly and deliver to projects. So would really suit you if you’ve been a junior for a number of years and gained a fair bit of experience working across different things like I’ve outlined above.

Also, if you’ve ever contracted and are looking for a permanent opportunity now. All those skills you gained in those different firms can be put to good use here.

THE FIRM

You’ll be joining the creative team for a growing gaming firm who are recognised as the good guys of their industry. You’re going to be reporting to the company’s Creative Lead, with your work supporting the Marketing team with creative assets for use in their marketing campaigns, which are deployed across both UK, EU, LATAM and the USA.

There’s a couple of junior creatives in the team too who will be working alongside you. As the Mid-Weight Designer, you’re going to be looked up to as someone they can learn from.

The brand is quirky and fun, and although in the gambling industry, all their external branding and internal ethos is on ethical. Doing the right thing. Not being a part of the mainstream gaming crowd which typically come with a stigma attached.

It’s a pacey environment, and you’ll be working not only across territories, but also across products too. So there’s going to be a bit of variety to the work. But still keeping within brand guidelines.

ABOUT YOU

  • Proficient in animation, print and graphic design
  • Have a portfolio of digital designs, animations, etc. you’ve done for marketing campaigns
  • Confident with Photoshop, Adobe Animate, After Effects, Adobe XD, Illustrator & InDesign
  • Comfortable working at pace and can deliver to deadlines
  • Able to do conceptual designs
  • Any experience with UX will be a real plus
