Role:   Paid Media Manager – Paid Social & PPC
Salary:   £45,000 - £50,000
Location:   Remote UK based, will have a London office later in the year. Likely 2/3 days office/home rotation.

As I’m writing this I’m hoping this advert won’t age well. But for the right reasons – because the firm this role is working with is very much of the now… an incredibly booming space – EdTech.

But like many who have sprung up in the pandemic, this isn’t within a start-up. So you don’t have to worry about the company’s revenues disappearing once we all put our kids back in school.

This is an established digital platform e-learning firm whose typical customer sits between the ages of 25-40yrs. So the mature student. They’ve been going for a few years now, but yes, lockdown has seen their business really take off.

Their online courses and learning opportunities have been shaped in partnership Universities, and reflect short courses, right through to aspirational learning and even online Degree courses.

They’ve been expanding their offering, partnering with some massive employers to provide vocational courses too.


This is a growth hire, as the firm is looking to bring their paid media in-house. So you can expect this to be very much a hands-on role, as you will be building, managing and optimising campaigns directly.

The top priority for the role is in Paid Social, across Facebook and Instagram.  Then expanding this out, putting in place the strategy for other relevant platforms like Linkedin and TikTok.

The second priority will be for PPC and the roadmap for this. Working in conjunction with the Director, you’ll be creating briefs for the creative team. Building and optimising advertising campaigns and reporting on performance.

The first 12 months will be very much executional, i.e. building campaigns. But as channels grow, there’s opportunity and potential to expand the team and bring in additional support, which may include increasing the agency roster too. This will bring bigger budgets and a bigger focus on strategy for you as your remit expands.

There’s a lot of independence on offer, as the company’s very open to testing new channels and constantly trying new things to drive better results.


  • Decent degree of Paid Social and PPC experience
  • Coming from a B2C environment
  • Analytical, and data savvy – can really dig into campaign performance data, understands performance drivers and can evidence results
  • Confident in your subject matter and able to bring together strategies and ideas, putting them into action
