Program Manager - Pharmaceutical Industry

Surrey or Staffordshire/Derbyshire

Overview:

A global speciality pharmaceutical business, who due to successfully achieving significant and sustained growth, have created the new role of Program Manager. Working with the Programme Management team you will be working as dedicated Program Manager to develop and maintain client relations, responsible for the delivery of new and existing programmes to key pharmaceutical and biotech accounts.

This role would be suitable for someone who has experience of presenting to clients in a face to face environment as well as working virtually.

The ideal candidate would be personable, confident yet humble, well organised and will have an incredibly strong attention to detail. This is not a sales position or an implementation role, so it would be best suited to candidates who have previous Account Management experience and are looking for development in this specialism.

You will support senior team members in the Programme Management division with Key Accounts. Liaising with Senior level clients and managing relations of Assigned Accounts means you will need to be attentive and have a proven ability in a role like this.

Job Title: Program Manager

Salary: £35,000 - £55,000 (Dependant on experience)

Benefits: Bonus up to 15% annually, Holidays: 27, Pension: 4.5% matched

Location: Surrey or Staffordshire/Derbyshire

The key responsibilities for this role are:

  • Proven experience in presenting to an audience, sharing products or services and successfully securing new customers as well as adding value to current accounts.
  • Support the Programme Directors/Managers on key accounts and hold responsibility for accounts interacting with clients at senior level to ensure and facilitate the delivery of successful, measurable programmes
  • Deliver Project/Programme Management solutions to support new and existing business growth
  • Working to expand growth of existing accounts while maintaining high levels of customer retention
  • Maintaining consistent high levels of customer service while delivering programme specific KPIs and development objectives
  • Have a strong financial acumen and contributing to business growth and profitability targets by identifying process enhancements from existing programmes and new business opportunities
  • Deliver assigned account plans that relate to current and future service offerings through strategic account management to global clients

Required Experience:

  • Experience in managing global Key Accounts within the “Big” Pharmaceutical Industry
  • Proven commercial awareness, strong negotiation skills and business development/sales experience within global accounts
  • A Science or Business degree
  • Ability to build excellent relationships and networks
  • A methodical, solutions focused, and results driven attitude
  • Ability to take initiative, setting high personal standards and comfortability with risk
  • Proven successful project planning and management skills
  • Motivational and compelling communicator who can drive the team forward, effectively managing customer expectations and building strategic relationships with clients
