A major player within the generic and unlicensed medicines space is seeking a commercially astute and qualified pharmacist to join their expanding Unlicensed medicines business unit.

Within the newly created role, Portfolio Pharmacist Manager, you will be responsible for the management of all inbound enquiries for unlicensed medicines, that originate from Pharmacists.

Key Responsibilities:

  • As Portfolio Pharmacist Manager, you will provide accurate and timely updates to enquirers about their questions and availability of drugs.
  • As Portfolio Pharmacist Manager, you will lead the function in setting prices for unlicensed medicines. This will be based on all relevant variables, including end to end direct and indirect costs, market price and pressures, and product demand.
  • You will support the wider Unlicensed medicines team with advice around where medicines can be sourced for enquirers.
  • Provide continuous reporting and analysis of enquiries and their conversions to business.

Role Requirements:

  • You will be a qualified pharmacist. Other commercial qualifications would be beneficial.
  • You will have experience of working within a hospital pharmacy environment.
  • Through your experience, you will have up to date knowledge of medicines, generic prescribing, familiarity of dosage forms and an understanding of the route’s drugs take to being administered.
  • In addition to having hospital pharmacy experience, you will also have experience of working within the pharmaceutical industry, within a commercial function.
  • You will be commercial astute and able to work autonomously.
