You recognise those people in your life who are absolute sunshine. The folks who make you feel good just by being around them.

Now imagine you’re working in a team made up of people just like this. All incredibly engaged and loving what they do. But are also incredibly positive, bubbly and engaging personalities. Now imagine a boss who’s just as positive and engaging. Who helps create an environment of inclusiveness and positivity.

That’s what you’ll be getting when you become part of this corporate communications function for a global EdTech firm. The team is made up of a mix of brand, comms, creative and content specialists, all reporting to Global Director of Brand and Comms.

Your remit will be to handle PR and corporate communications projects which vary from promotional PR, media and press relations through to crisis comms too.

There’s going to be three others working alongside you who will also handle similar PR and comms projects. Working collaboratively on both local ‘in market’ communications projects as well as bigger picture, global initiatives too.

Those projects typically align to Universities and places of further education. Targeting both the Universities themselves and student populations.

It’s a fast paced project style environment where you’ll likely be juggling numerous deadlines and objectives at the same time. Typically tackling subjects on a theme over different channels.

To tackle them you’ll need to be able to step away from the situation and identify the best ways and means to deal with the issues at hand. Whether that be designing a PR campaign to raise awareness of a new product. Or putting together a range of digital communications to handle an emerging crisis situation.

Responsibilities:

  • Support on the execution of a proactive PR and communications programme. This will include liaison with various parts of the business to identify newsworthy opportunity and putting a journalistic point of view to it. Identifying the newsworthy angle which will capture audience interest
  • Work on a range of corporate content and communications, including press releases, case studies, opinion articles, social content and more
  • Create thought leadership pieces which will resonate with a corporate audience. Building trust and the company’s reputation as a credible provider in the EdTech space
  • Support on ad-hoc campaigns as well as provide input to crisis communications
  • Monitor media to understand the impact of campaigns, as well as report on brand reputation. Providing ideas on how to capitalise on opportunities to newsjack.

About the company:

The firm you’ll be joining is well established in the EdTech space, partnering with a broad range of Universities and offers a global reach, engaging with students all over the world.

The partners are all UK based, and the target audience are principally international students from across the world as well as corporate audiences who invest in training and accreditation for their staff.

The company has one of the largest footprints in this space and has offices all over the world too.

Experience Needed:

  • Agency or client side experience handling PR and communication campaigns, press office or media relations in a B2B capacity
  • Ideally some experience or interest in higher/further education fields
  • Great with prioritisation and time management. Able to deliver to deadlines
  • Strong written skills, and able to find the newsworthy and audience interest angle in campaigns and communications you execute
  • Positive, gregarious nature
  • Ambitious and keen to learn and develop your career in the PR/Corporate Comms world
