Role:                     Product Owner – CRM/Resource Management platform
Location:             Ability to be remote most of the time, with only the occasional need to travel to London for meetings.
Salary:                  Up to £75,000 plus benefits

What you’ll be doing is owning the feature backlog and development roadmap for a CRM and project management platform on behalf of an international group of marketing agencies.

This platform is used for every client in the EMEA region, and is a feature rich in-house built resource management platform designed to streamline the entire marketing communications process. It’s adopted by most of the agency’s clients across the EMEA region and used to improve efficiency, productivity and visibility.

You will lead a team of Product Owners based overseas who handle the delivery of the product roadmap, and interface into the business and agencies in each region to understand their needs from the various parts of the platform. Turning those needs into the overarching roadmap for development.

You’ll be responsible for shaping the user stories, working with end clients to understand their needs. Those end users will be from within the agency itself as well as external clients who use the platform themselves.

You’ll take these and translate them into the product features roadmap and oversee its strategic delivery. Working in Agile and Sprints with the development teams. Prioritising feature backlogs and moving projects forward via your team to a successful roll out.

There’s going to be plenty of variety of challenge with this opportunity, as you’ll be moving between products once updates are successfully delivered, overseeing everything to ensure it comes together cohesively as an overall product.

The team you’ll be managing is already in place, made up of 6 people currently, all based overseas. Whilst this inevitably requires solid leadership credentials, as the only UK representative for the function to be based in country, this also means there’s going to be a requirement for you to remain hands on as well.

KEY EXPERIENCE

  • Product Owner/Product Management experience of a CRM based product/platform
  • Previous line management experience and comfortable with matrix leadership environments
  • You know how to write user guides for software developers
  • You understand user stories and how to create them, as well as articulate them in a product pitch
  • You know your way around a feature roadmap and have solid project management skills, including plenty of experience in Agile
