Role: Programmatic/Display Marketing Executive - travel
Location: Hertfordshire office – minimum in office requirement, once every 2 weeks
Salary: circa £40,000 plus 10% bonus, plus benefits and lots more.

What’s more exciting than a holiday?

Bag’s packed, alarm’s set and you lay there too excited to sleep in anticipation for the journey which lies ahead.

It’s your one or two weeks of pleasure. No worrying about reports or deadlines as you’re swapping gas bills for air conditioning. It’s going to be just you, a sunbed and sangria.

It’s the moments like these life’s all about, right?

That’s the excitement your work will create for the hundreds of thousands of people who clicked an ad from a webpage based on the programmatic campaigns you created on behalf of this award-winning travel company.

They’re listed in the top 50 best places to work in the UK, and have an incredibly warm culture you’ll just love being a part of. Over the last couple of years their digital team has grown from 10 to 90, and this appointment is looking to expand the capability further as they look to move all digital paid media in-house, creating their own in-house agency type set up where this central team supports the company’s different brands. Owning everything end-to-end, but with the added visibility of results achieved and business impact.

You’re going to be aligned to one of their brands, learning the ropes and finessing your paid search skills, picking up tips from peers and seniors which will support your own personal growth. meaning campaigns, budgets and reporting/optimisation, whilst also supporting on one of the others within their portfolio.

This is a specialist position dedicated to Programmatic, and would really suit if you’re looking to specialise your career down this path and become a true subject matter expert.

You’re going to own and be responsible for one of their brands. Setting up and running campaigns in-house (they don’t use agency support). Managing the budgets, oversighting performance and making appropriate tweaks and changes to improve ROI.

That brand will essentially be your baby, and yours to decide how best to run it to get the best potential results from this specific media.

There will be a senior manager alongside you to support, provide guidance, bounce ideas off and learn from. But there’s a lot of potential autonomy, and there’s a good opportunity to flex some strategic muscle as you work with stakeholders in the wider marketing team for that brand to plan out how best to use budgets to get the best potential results.

The target audience will be for adult exclusive holidays in the UK. So will cover a range of audience demographics. Those looking for a luxurious weekend away in beautiful surroundings at the beginning of their couples journey, to empty nesters in their golden years enjoying longer breaks in relaxing environments surrounded by beautiful countryside.

If you love the travel industry but want somewhere that’s a safe and stable bet. Plus also want a role that’s going to expand your own horizons. Teach you new things by broadening out your knowledge of paid social, giving you opportunity to really grow. Why look any further?

As an additional perk to the job, the company also asks people to go and stay at their properties and resorts at various points throughout the year. Staying there as guests to be able to experience the brands, feel better connected to them, as well as be able to provide feedback to the business on guest experience and ways of improving.

About You and what we’re looking for

  • Commercial experience in programmatic/display advertising – setting up and running campaigns with good knowledge of the various campaign platforms
  • You want to specialise your career down the Programmatic path, rather than go a generalist route
  • Confident communicator, comfortable working with people from across the business in a matrix environment
  • Maybe you’re an Agency-side Account Exec or Paid Media Exec looking to move client side.
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
  • Good time-management skills
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
  • Highly organised team player
