So, you’re looking for something meaningful. Dealing with really meaty challenges which will push your experience in communications consulting to their very limits.

But how comfortable would you be dealing with any one of the following:

  • Starting again, how might you approach Brexit communications from the UK government differently?
  • Or something like an Ebola outbreak on behalf of an African nation?
  • Approach a ‘must win’ lobbying project, or big impact financial communications on behalf of a major corporate to protect their share price
  • Change public opinion on a FTSE 100 firm and rebuild public trust following a major crisis
  • Or work with the next major whistle blower like Julian Assange or Ed Snowden – taking what they know public to galvanise public opinion, and raise their profile to a point they can’t be touched

How about stepping into a role which could see you take on aspects of all of these?

Specialising in public strategy consulting, the work you’ll handle will be incredibly varied. So it’s fair to say, no two days will be the same.

The idea here is to successfully sway or manage public opinion through the use of information and carefully crafted communications. Or help to influence change, particularly when considering projects involving lobbying.

Being a Media and Communications Expert, you will be as comfortable dealing with strategy as you are execution. Creating a wide variety of communications pieces which will catch interest, sway public opinion or help handle crisis situations – be that through press releases, carefully crated Op-eds and media statements, or organising interviews with key media outlets.

You’ll be comfortable taking client lead to steer the narrative and define objectives, dealing with senior government parties and business leaders right up to C-suite. At times you’ll be required to handle the end to end project directly, but can also find yourself working in partnership with in-house PR/PA teams too, helping them to see the wood for the trees or push through a strategy with senior leadership.

THE BUSINESS

They’re an international operation with a big presence in the US and offices situated around the world. Their UK arm is more fledgling and start-up in nature. This is also what affords this breadth and variety of work.

The London office tends to work in a highly collaborative fashion, with everyone from the MD down getting involved in the strategic agenda, writing proposals and even new business opportunities too. So you will never be lacking support, and will have a really visible presence with key executive leadership.
