QA Programme Manager    

SALARY -                           £80k - £90k + car allowance + bonus + benefits

LOCATION -                       North London / Hertfordshire

FLEXIBLE WORKING -      Full time office based, OR 3 days in office, 2 days from home

This role sits at the top of the QA programme function, reporting directly into the Head of QA, who is energetic, super friendly and passionate about working for this organisation; and there is a lot to be passionate about!

They sit within one of the most stable industries economically right now. They have made 0 redundancies during Covid-19 and haven’t had to furlough any staff. They offer a chance to be part of a national organisation which not only provides a variety of digital gaming and gambling products to 75% of the UK, but they also do endless charity work, raising billions for various projects and charities across Britain every year.

We’re looking for the right person who can identify ways to ease the Head of QA’s workload and to also build your own profile within the business. Your management, communication and leadership style will be the key to your success. With just shy of 1000 employees they still maintain a ‘family’ culture. ROLE

This is very much a senior leadership business facing role, so it’s important you feel confident and comfortable talking to various stakeholders about their needs, challenges and requirements, working to build relationships and pushing back when needs be. We’ll be looking for a certain level of maturity and an individual contributor, who is able to self-organise and adds genuine value.

This role will manage all functional (manual) aspects of the Quality Assurance workstream by leveraging the teams’ resources. This will include, testing of internal deliverables, (Gaming and Non-Gaming), System Integration Testing of third party deliverables (across all retail channels, using the Test Lab and Digital channels (Mobile and Web). 

You'll work with the Head of QA and leaders from other areas of the business to contribute to and execute the QA strategy.

Skills & Experience:

  • Bags of experience in cultivating a high performing QA Team and leading through change and by example.
  • The ability to work effectively with offshore teams (India and Greece). Providing leadership and guidance.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in a Programme QA / Test Manager role.
  • Significant experience in leading large testing projects from defining strategy and plans, execution and results presentation.
  • Strong experience in running multi streamed testing activities for both Business and IT functions.
  • Proven ability of managing resources to deliver to a plan.
  • Experience with the Test Management tools such as JIRA.
  • Experience in test transformation projects (i.e. shaping, establishing and moving an organisation to an improved test approach, practices and procedures). 
  • Testing/Test Management of large scale integration projects.
  • Industry recognised software testing qualifications such as ISEB/ISTQB are advantageous.
