Role: Recruitment Consultant – Product & Commercial Marketing
Location: Hybrid working, twice a week in Tunbridge Wells office (Tuesdays and Thursdays)
Salary: £20,000 (Associate Consultant) to £35,000 base (Senior Consultant) plus commission up to 25%, incentives, class leading holiday allowance and much more
OTE: Anywhere from £35k through to £80k, dependent on career level and targets.

Blue Pelican is hiring and looking for hungry and motivated recruiters to come and be a part of something special.

You’ll be joining our marketing division. It’s a team which covers core marketing, digital and data requirements arising from clients across all industries.

It’s principally a UK centric customer base made up of a diverse range of client types both large and small across most commercial industries. This is both B2B and B2C, and includes telecoms, media, retail, loyalty, luxury, beauty, fintech, SaaS and more. You’ll be partnering with colleagues within the team to win new business and deliver to an established roster clients too.

This will be a 360 remit, responsible for business development, relationship management, client delivery as well as role sourcing too.

You will be joining our Marketing Recruitment Team and given ownership for recruiting up and down the career spectrum and across all industries for Product, Propositions and Commercial Management roles.

This would be a 360-degree remit, responsible for the entire recruitment process from start to finish. Including identifying and sourcing top talent for open positions, but also building relationships with client prospects and bringing in new business too.

In addition to delivering on new business, you would also need to build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat business. This involves developing a deep understanding of your clients' needs, and staying up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in recruitment.

We have no client ownership, so there’s a serious amount of opportunity to grow value from existing clients as well as build relationships and open new doors with prospective clients too.

The specialist area you will own will include Product Management, Proposition Management, Commercial Management and Commercial Strategy.

These teams can be sizable within end clients, and you’ll be looking to engage with business leaders across industries to network, identify opportunities and open doors. As well as sourcing top talent to fit those business requirements.

You will be dealing with experienced hires, anything from someone leaving a graduate rotation programme with a couple of years experience under their belt, through to Chief Product Officers.

Your market opportunity is similarly diverse. Anything from a first hire of type for a start-up, team build for scale-up, or replacement hire for an established corporate. Across any industry and even open opportunity to explore outside the UK too.

What we’re looking for

  • Experienced 360 recruiter, able to demonstrate the ability to open the doors with new business. Negotiating fees, exclusivity arrangements and successfully influencing in a B2B sales environment
  • Past experience of hiring within a marketing related field would be a real advantage
  • Good relationship management skills with a commercial focus. You know how to spot the opportunity for win/win and how to finesse things to get positive outcomes
  • You’re organised and know how to structure searches to deliver results for clients quickly and effectively
  • Motivated to achieve results, tenacious and driven.
