Senior Analyst – Training provided on MMM!

LOCATION -             Central London

SALARY -                 £40k - £45k plus excellent benefits


You will be working within one of the UK’s top 10 Media Agencies, in partnership with a major banking client. Your role is focused on delivering data science and marketing effectiveness projects, identifying client challenges, shaping briefs and solutions to meet those needs, as well as identifying opportunities for new business and projects.


Ideally you will have skills in marketing analytics, and in particular MMM (market mix modelling), however, the hiring manager will consider those with a strong grounding in statistical analysis and  PROVIDE TRAINING on MMM if needs be. If you do fit the latter profile, a degree in Economics or Mathematics & Statistics would be preferred.


Projects include consulting around digital pathways and making recommendations on investment through insights and analytics. You will work amongst an impressive division of Data Scientists and Analysts, who cover a wide range of projects including classic statistical customer and marketing analysis, digital analytics, data science (machine learning, AI) and attribution modelling and MMM.  


The HUGE benefit to anyone coming into this role with no previous media analytics or specific MMM experience is that these skills are in MASSIVE demand right now, so you will be adding a valuable skill through diversifying your experience. Additionally, media agencies operate sophisticated analytics environments, whereby you are working to influence an entire audience rather than just one individual in their behaviour, so complex analytical approaches are required.


Overall, the wider Agency Group (within which this agency sits) are very well known for their training and development, and people often move around within the group to gain exposure to different clients, tools and skills.


Finally, your line manager has an impressive background herself, meaning you have the chance to learn from someone with a strong background in marketing effectiveness and econometrics.


So, if you are keen to diversify and expand on your existing statistical analytical skills, this would be a great strategic move.

  • Educated to degree level in a numerate discipline; Economics, Mathematics & Statistics, Machine Learning, Computer Science, Phytics, Engineering, Chemistry
  • Strong programming skills in Python or R to an advanced level
  • A background in marketing effectiveness OR statistical insights will be considered
  • Skilled in using marketing effectiveness techniques such as market mix modelling (MMM), A/B testing etc. preferred
  • An eye for detail and working to deadlines, in a fast-moving environment
  • Adept at identifying commercial analytical opportunities & comfortable challenging convention
  • Excellent communication skills for client presentations, and conveying ideas effectively
  • Ideally experience in mentoring or managing junior members of staff
