Senior Customer Analyst

  • Are you an experienced customer insight analyst looking for a senior level consultative role?
  • Opportunity to work for one of the UK’s leading names in grocery and home retail
  • Dynamic and multi-disciplinary team

This brand-new role sits within the Customer Insight function, reporting into Lead Analyst. The CI team is a very independent and consultative function, working on the business wide ambition to embed data and insights within decisions across the business; something the Board are very invested in.

The Head of Department has a very credible background in analytics, having worked for a global loyalty consultancy for a number of years, covering a variety of analytical areas, including customer insight and statistics.

In summary, the role works to utilise statistical analytical and modelling techniques to answer broad business questions which range from working out whether changing Sales timings will affect profitability? What would that revenue turnover look like if they did make a change? Who would this impact? What does customer activity across online channels look like versus offline?

Technically they employ R, Python and SAS Base internally, but are moving away from the latter; so strong coding skills in SQL plus one of the programming technologies mentioned is key. Around 30% of the role is focused on modelling, which is also something they are focused on doing more of moving forward.

In addition to all of the above, you will also have the chance to mentor the more junior members of staff, so if you are interested in moving into a management role then this could be a great stepping stone opportunity.
